Mailing List Online

The kinship mailing list is online and available for use for all email-based communications. This is preferable to just mass-mailing to everyone because you only have to keep track of and email to a single email address, it also archives the messages for future reference.

• To subscribe/unsubscribe, go here.

• You can also request a subscription just by sending an email to kinship-join@antarat.com (the subject and body do not matter, as the bot ignores them anyway. Moderator approval is necessary to be added, so that only kinship members may join).

• Once you’re subscribed, you will then recieve any email sent to the mailing list. It will appear in your inbox with the prefix [Kinship] at the beginning of the subject, making it easy to identify, sort, whitelist, filter, etc.

• If you want to email all subscribed kinmates, simply send an email to kinship@antarat.com. Anyone can reply to a message sent in this manner and it will be sent out properly like any other message.

• Members can view all of the permanently archived mail here.

The Watcher Defeated!

The Watcher was defeated last night by a raid of members from Shadows of Eventide and Defenders of the Mithril Halls, among other friends and allies. Our joint team was the second on Landroval to accomplish this task.

After making continually progress in attempts made on three previous nights, some slight tactical adjustments and a greater emphasis on control lead to a success on the very first attempt of the evening.

Representing our kinship were Jungo, Celebdraug, and Jahandar.
Credit also goes out to Yellowbraids for his contributions on the previous attempts, and thanks to everyone who cheered us on.

The victory has also been announced on the Landroval forum.

Image Gallery is Online

I’ve added an image gallery to the website so we can share screenshots and other pictures. All kinship members are welcome to upload, just speak with Jahandar for access and instructions. To browse the pictures, use the gallery link above. Right now there aren’t many to see, I just uploaded a few pictures I had lying around to get things started.

Weekly Rift Raids

Jungo will be taking raids through The Rift each Friday.

I am going to try to set up a consistent rift run for Friday nights. Hopefully in the 8:30 - 9:00 pm EST time start-up/forming time. The only reason I pick that time is that we can get a few bosses done before midnight EST. If people consistently want to go later (for example, 10:00 EST) we can work that out too.

Jungo Takes the Reins

At 8:30pm EST today, Puffles officially granted leadership to Jungo. Congratulations!

You Decide, 2008!

Puffles, the founder and official leader of Shadows of Eventide has decided to step down from her position. Her real-life commitments have made it difficult for her to continue. She will continue to play, but in a more casual capacity. In a letter to kinship members, she remarked:

“[…] I’ll still be around, occasionally, and I will definitely miss playing/chatting with ya’ll… but annoyingly, life seems to have interrupted my gaming time.”

Nominations and voting began almost immediately following Puffles’ announcement. Jungo, the overwhelming favorite, is the most likely successor. Among his endorsers are Silgar, former leader of the Errant Knights kinship, which merged into Shadows of Eventide back in June.
